We sometimes become overwhelmed with the complexities of this life, we lose focus on God and drift off into unfamiliar ground! We lose the lamp unto our Feet and the light unto our path, and within our pit, we forget our Father which is Heaven. We get caught up in the cares of life and become slave to the material gods of this world. Sometimes we sink so low, we can no longer see which way is up! We lose our peace of mind because we put our confidence and trust in this world and ourselves and no longer in God! We soon realize all the peace and comfort we ever experienced came from the providences of God Almighty! Maybe, we’ve lived our entire lives in search of true peace! How can we turn the tide and get ourselves back on course? Or how can we feel that peace, we’ve painfully searched for? The answer is so simple that our complex minds tend to over think the solution! Just as Naaman thought his method of healing given by Elisha was too elementary, that he almost lost out on his healing; we tend to over think the solution!

To the lamb that’s went astray, the person who’s got caught up in the cares of this life, or anyone who’s simply drowning in life, we must 1st realize we need help, and Look up To God, within his providence, we can find every answer to life!

John 14:6 says Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Jesus tells us in Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. He goes on to tell us in Matthew 7:7-8 “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. All God wants from us is to seek him first in all our ways, and to put him first in our life. When we lose focus- look up and remember God has our answer, and he will make a way for our escape. He will break the yoke that has us bound, and loose the chains that seems unbreakable. Remember, it’s the devil who condemns you into thinking you’ve went too far. May I say, LOOK UP and focus on God and he will make a way where there seems to be no way!

Just as God chastened Israel and would allow them to fall into the pit, he would have to put them flat on their backs so they had no choice but to look up! Could our calamity be the very thing that God is using to put our attention back on him? Could it be that he loves us so much, that he allows us to Hit rock bottom and out of our desperation, we lament for his mercies, and we reach toward the heavens hoping he’s still there! Let me say, God will never leave us nor forsake us! His hand is always extended, waiting for us to snap out of our spiritual amnesia and throw ourselves onto the mercy seat! God allows us to lose ourselves, and fall into our pit, because it shows our humanistic limitations of just how much we need God and cannot make it without him! We see through out the bible, Mans ways always lead to sin! Gods way leads to everlasting life! So make the decision today that you’ve had enough, and look up towards God almighty because he is truly all we need in this life! His spirit is truly the only thing that will satisfy our thirsty souls! Matt 5:6 “blessed are they which hunger and thirst after Righteousness, for they shall be filled.”
