One of my favorite scriptures is Jude v.3 where he admonishes the church to earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints! Earnestly contend means to defend with intense conviction! In order to protect something, you must first have a love and sincerity towards it. In order to defend our faith, we must first love it and cherish it. We must embrace this precious gospel, because the days of compromise and apathy are upon us. Just as the days of the Apostles, false doctrine is sweeping through and beguiling all those who allow it, all those who are slothful and drunken in the mind. Those who refuse to know to stand firm on His word, know His word, and love His word are those who will eventually fall into Apostasy! This, my brethren is why we must Love The Gospel, and preach and teach the common salvation that was once delivered to us! We must have intense convictions, and keep our minds focused on the soon return of Jesus Christ! Cast down the weights that hinder us today and make sure you’re lamps are trimmed and burning, because the cry of the Bridegroom’s return is an echo away!
