Knowledge of Significance

I believe every human is created to desire knowledge, it’s the way God designed us. This quest begins at birth, and we must learn from infancy to progress into functional human beings. This quest will be what motivates us our entire life; and will dictate our ambitions, motives, and will drive us to our destiny. This is what separates us as human beings: We live in a world marked by different levels of knowledge and understanding. We’re a sophisticated group of individuals by creation, yet it’s obvious many fail to live out God’s original intent! It’s not God’s will for people live in hell on earth, nor is it His will that any of us should spend eternity in hell. It wasn’t God’s design for humanity to live in the day and age marked by such pain due to people’s behavior and decisions. His original intent was blessings, fruitfulness, joy, and peace: Yet, we inherited the consequences of two individuals that sought the wrong type of Knowledge. Adam and Eve chose to know good and evil, and this birthed SIN INTO HUMANITY.

People are driven in life based on their hearts desire, whether good or evil. I hope for the sake of all humanity that we find what our soul truly longs for! Whether we acknowledge it or not, this longing can only be quenched by KNOWING OUR CREATOR, GOD ALMIGHTY. People will spend their entire life in search of all the wisdom in the world, yet the simplicity to life on earth, and the life to come, is to know who Jesus is! We must have a solid foundation where we base our entire existence on, and we can find that in the word of God!

Jeremiah 9:23-24_”Thus says the Lord: “Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, let not the mighty man boast in his might, let not the rich man boast in his riches, but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth. For in these things I delight, declares the Lord.”

Proverbs 1:7_”The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge.”

Isaiah 55:6-7_”Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.”

Acts 17:27_”That they should seek God, in the hope that they might feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is actually not far from each one of us.”

Ecclesiastes 12:13_”Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.”

To truly know God, is to Love and Fear Him. He won’t force us to serve Him based on fear, yet knowledge and wisdom will help us to understand His sovereignty. It helps us to see He stands today as our Saviour, extending His hand of mercy and grace to all humanity; but one day He will reign as Judge, and will judge us according to our pursuit on earth. As Isaiah uttered, reach out to Him while He may be found: wisdom tells me one day it will be too late. This reminds me of King Saul, a man chosen of God to lead Israel, and he had the opportunity to glean from the wisdom and understanding of the prophet Samuel, Yet after rejecting the words of God given by the prophet, God finally withdrew Himself from Saul and left his soul desolate. King Saul became so desperate to hear from God, he summonsed a witch to bring back the spirit of Samuel for one last word from God, what a state of despair to be in! His life is a sobering reminder that if we fail to take heed and seize today’s opportunity of knowing Jesus Christ, one of these days we will reach out and catch the wind because it will be too late. God told us in Genesis that His spirit will not always strive with man, that’s why Today is the day of Salvation, harden not your heart. I pray we all find the quench to our longing soul, and knowledge tells me it can only be found in Jesus Christ!

God bless, JDS
