Memoirs from a Giant Killer: Hindsight
I have collaborated a series of articles, that I believe David would perhaps sit down and write to us about his experiences as a Giant killer, if he were given the chance. We can glean so much from the most Holy Scripture’s, and it was given for our admonishment, so that we may be able to live victoriously, and ultimately make Heaven our home. I hope these short articles may help someone conquer their own giants in life. We all have them, and with the help of the Lord, “We are more than Conquerors through Christ Jesus our Lord!”
I believe if David sat down and wrote a memoir on how to kill a Giant, one of the first things he’d tell us is, Our past Victories are the platform that propels us into Conquering TODAY’s Giants! David knew he would defeat Goliath, because he rehearsed his past victories!
1 Samuel 17:33-36 (KJV) “And Saul said to David, Thou art not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him: for thou [art but] a youth, and he a man of war from his youth. And David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father’s sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock: And I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered [it] out of his mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught [him] by his beard, and smote him, and slew him. Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God.”
This is why our TESTIMONY is so powerful Saints of God: When the enemy comes in and spews lies, or tries to condemn us with our past, REHEARSE what the Lord has done in your life! Devil, get behind me, I AM WASHED BY THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB! When sickness or disease comes in, think back of how God has touched your body in the past: GOD DOESN’T CHANGE, He’s the same yesterday, today, and forevermore! Many of David’s Psalms he wrote when in despair, he’d dig himself out of that pit by PRAISING GOD FOR ALL THAT HE HAD DONE IN HIS LIFE! We must never lose our praise, and we must forever rehearse our testimony!!!
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Revelation 12:11 (KJV)
