“By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD [men] depart from evil.” Proverbs 16:6 (KJV) 

Mercy and Truth kissed each other at Calvary. He paid a debt He did not owe, We owed a debt we could not pay. Truth/Mercy was on full display! 

Solomon adds the FEAR of the LORD drives us from our sins. The Fear of the LORD teaches us how to walk after the ways of God, and how not to trample on His sure Mercies. True Godly Fear will teach us NOT to Abuse His Mercy. The atonement for sin took place at Calvary, but there are some things Calvary WILL NOT do. There are things left up to us. True Faith in Calvary spawns us to take action. Grace alone DID NOT save Noah. (Grace gave Him the OPPORUNITY and INSTRUCTIONS on how to save his family. “By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.” Hebrews 11:7 (KJV)

NOAH was MOVED with FEAR…His Faith was put into Action! Calvary is the single greatest opportunity ever given to humanity, yet the efficacy of the Cross is dependent upon our RESPONSE TO THE CROSS!! The New Testament Plan of Salvation found in Acts 2:38 is the BLUE PRINTS given to Humanity that parallels the instructions given to Noah on how to build an Ark to the saving of his family. If you wish to have your Iniquites purged, you must have FAITH and put that Faith into action by being moved with FEAR and obey The Word of God!
