In Need of A Saviour!

From the seed of Adam until the day in which we live, we were born into a state of desolation. We were inherently designed to feel empty and in search of that fulfillment. Man has turned to idolatry, giving in to the lustful desires of the flesh, drugs, alcohol and the list goes on. No matter what we turn to, if we never get the revelation of who created us and what our purpose in life is, then we will spend our entire life on an endless jounery of despair. God intended it this way so we would seek him, because he is the only source that will fill the emptiness inside of us. Although God gives us the joy of spouses, children, family and friends; that won’t give us true fulfillment in life. Wealth and fame won’t do it, I think thats obvious considering all the famous people who have taken their own life; their hopelessness and pain of emptiness was too much to bear.

The woman at the well tried to fill her emptiness by promiscuous behavior, she was empty inside and in need of a saviour. Jesus intentionally crossed paths with her to offer her the water of life. “Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw” (John 4:13 – 4:15 KJV) Jesus offered her a well that will never run dry. He gives us life, he gives us hope, and he gives us a reason to wake up and enjoy life every day. But, we have to realize God created us in his image and for his glory, we were created to worship the creator God almighty. Faith in Jesus Christ and the revelation that we are all sinners in need of a saviour, is a crucial step towards salvation. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). Salvation from sin is a free gift from God called grace, which was purchased for us on Calvary. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:(Ephesians 2:8)

I will explain in a later post what God requires of us once we accept him as our personal saviour! There is more!

If you find yourself feeling empty and no joy in life despite having family, wealth and friends, it’s because you need Jesus in your life. He’s the answer to all of life’s questions. If you know Jesus as your personal saviour, then are you being fed the word of God? Are you in a church where the Holy Ghost power is being poured out? Have you followed the plan of salvation? Have you been taught the plan of salvation? if you’re still searching for more truth, then you can find it in the bible! Jesus is coming soon and I want to share the gospel with as many people as I can. I’m not an expert by any means, but I enjoy discussing the bible. I have a burden for lost souls and for people who are searching for the truth!
